Matthew is the Managing Partner at Wellington Dupont Public Affairs and is an expert in government relations and providing lobbying support. He brings a wide range of experience in a number of public policy areas including health, transportation, natural resources, mergers and acquisitions, and environment policy.
Matthew has worked on a number of significant M&A files in Canada, including the $15.1B CNOOC/Nexen transaction and Berkshire Hathaway's $3.1B Altalink acquisition in Alberta. Additionally, Matthew has led high-profile files such as ALS Canada during the Ice Bucket Challenge, securing program and research funding.
Prior to joining Wellington Dupont, Matthew was a Director with the National Airlines Council of Canada, overseeing political strategy and environmental policy development for the association representing Canada's largest passenger airlines. Previously, Matthew worked at Hill+Knowlton Strategies where he served as an Account Director and before transitioning to government relations, Matthew spent six years working on Parliament Hill.
Matthew manages WD's Canadian operations and splits time between Ottawa and Toronto.
