Ottawa, ON, October 8, 2020 - Wellington Dupont Public Affairs (WD) announced Wednesday that Fitti Lourenco has joined the firm as Vice President, Public Affairs.
Lourenco joins WD after nearly 8 years as Air Canada’s Director of Government Relations, where he oversaw provincial and federal government relations and community management. Prior to that, Lourenco spent time at Telus as Director of Government Relations, and at Hill&Knowlton.

Fitti Lourenco is a Vice President, Public Affairs at Wellington Dupont Public Affairs.
He joined Wellington Dupont after nearly eight years at Air Canada where he was Director, Government Relations. In this role Fitti liaised with elected and senior officials in governments at all levels in order to advance the interests of Air Canada, its customers and communities in which it operates.
He also managed key stakeholder relations across the country with chambers of commerce, tourism associations and communities where he supported a number of local initiatives.
Prior to Air Canada, Fitti served as Director, Government Relations for TELUS, a national telecommunications company. He also served as a consultant at a government relations firm in Ottawa following several years of working in government on Parliament Hill.
Fitti’s broad experience advancing public policy on behalf of clients is complimented by his ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders from government and senior executives to local community groups.
In between his years working in government, Fitti spent time working in journalism and communications for a major news agency based in Istanbul, Turkey, where he was a foreign news editor.
